The poison cabinet
The Poison Cabinet is an escape room style game experience created for 16-18 year olds to introduce them to the State Library of Victoria and La Trobe University.
This large-scale immersive experience combines narrative and adventure, suspense and fun in an educational experience geared towards young people, celebrating their agency and giving them ownership over a space that they may not have previously felt was accessible to them.
The Poison Cabinet was created, directed, designed, run and production managed by me, Stephanie Brotchie with assistance from Ben Target (design and fabrication) and Andrew Callaghan (sound design and composition.)
Administrative support was provided by Thara Krishna-Pillay and Rebecca Anthony from SLV.
The project was sponsored by Indra Kurzeme from SLV and Christoper Mackie from La Trobe University.
